It’s been awhile. We almost forgot how to use WordPress to blog. Seriously. But here we are. We have been horrible at blogging and keeping updated with our social media, but in our defense it’s because we have been busy. We’ll take that. Lot’s of things have been going on here at F2. Posted by Brian Kelly

If you live in Indianapolis, Indiana you have probably been to the Rathskeller. It might have been for dinner, maybe for a wedding or you might have seen a concert in the Biergarten. It is a well-known, classy establishment and was in need of a website makeover. Hundreds of people visit their site a day [...]

It’s hard to believe that in 2011 there are businesses out there operating without a website. It’s not all because they don’t know what the Internet is or that they think it’s a fad or somehow they will get a virus. Some companies have been led astray by people telling them they don’t need to [...]

Social Media “Gurus”: Tell me something I don’t know

social-media-expert

Before I put my foot in my mouth, let me start off by saying that I love Social Media. I like to think I am a pretty advanced user. I tweet. I use Facebook and Facebook ads. I write on several blogs. I use Linkedin and Branchout. I use location-based services like Foursquare and Gowalla. [...]

My stylesheet is smaller than your stylesheet.

If you read an earlier post of mine entitled My script is smaller than your script, then you probably know what this post is about: minifying stylesheets.  I wanted to post this solution as well in case there are others like me who like to have multiple [local] stylesheet references in their HTML. The task [...]

Ok, so maybe some of you have smaller scripts than me or know someone with a smaller script than me, but I believe I have a smaller script than many developers out there. We all know that size matters when it comes to scripts. Luckily, smaller is better. I consider myself to be a very [...]

WordPress: Friend or Foe?

Posted by Chris Smola
Wordpress

As I sit here waiting for *ahem* a designer to get me some art for the new Floppy Deuce layout, I am left thinking of why I disliked Wordpress (WP) as a fully-featured site platform in the first place. Oh, I never told you that did I? Well, it’s true. Or, was.

Once you log in, you will see a basic landing page. This page will have a welcome message that cycles through a database of messages that we created. You should get a different message each time you load the page. Each client will have their Google Analytics stats on their home page (if they have a GA account) as well as something we are calling “F2 Bits.” These bits are random fun facts about our company and the universe.

The Non-Progression and Irrelevancy of CareerBuilder.com

Posted by Brian Kelly
careerbuilder

So for the past three or four years, on an email account I am trying to phase out, I have been getting daily emails from CareerBuilder.com with my job matches and recommendations. Due to my laziness, I haven’t taken the time to log in to my account, stop the emails, and thus, save me a few curse words each [...]
